Privacy Policy

Evisent Pty Ltd ("Evisent", "we", "us") provides managed IT, cyber security and practice automation services to Australian businesses. We take privacy seriously, because it is the same discipline we apply to our clients' environments. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how we hold it, and your rights, consistent with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). How we handle client systems and data is set out in more detail in our trust centre.

1. What we collect

• Contact details: name, email address, phone number, business name and role, when you ask a question, book a chat, request our sample evidence pack or a licensee pilot, email or call us, or otherwise get in touch.
• What you tell us: your question or message, and anything you choose to add afterwards, such as your industry, the systems you use and a preferred time to talk.
• Domain checks: the domain you enter in our domain security check. We store the domain and a one-way hash of your IP address (used to limit repeated checks), not your name or email address.
• Website usage data: pages visited, approximate location, device and browser information, collected via analytics cookies (see section 4).
• Client service data: where you engage us for services, information reasonably necessary to deliver those services under the applicable agreement. For managed IT clients this includes user names, email addresses and device and security status, which we read to run Evisent Live. Your email, files and client records stay in your own Microsoft 365 tenant.

2. How we use it

• To respond to your question, arrange a meeting, send what you requested, and deliver services you have engaged us for.
• To improve our website and measure the effectiveness of our marketing.
• To send you relevant follow-up communication. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe option, and we honour it.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your information to train AI models.

3. Automated decisions and AI

We do not use computer programs to make decisions that significantly affect you using your personal information. Enquiries sent through our website forms are read by a person and are not processed by AI.

Until October 2026 our website offered an online quiz whose answers were processed with AI tooling (Anthropic's Claude) to draft a report, which an Evisent engineer reviewed before anything was sent. The quiz has been retired and no longer accepts responses. Responses already received are held as described in section 5.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used, including session heatmaps and recordings, and Google Ads conversion measurement. These tools use cookies and similar identifiers. You can control cookies through your browser settings; the site remains usable with analytics cookies blocked.

5. Who we share it with, and where it is held

We use a small number of service providers to run our website and communications: website hosting and our enquiry database (Cloudflare; the database is held in the Oceania region), an email delivery provider that passes website enquiries to our inbox, and analytics and advertising measurement (Google and Microsoft). Some of these providers hold data outside Australia, typically in the United States. Quiz responses received before the quiz was retired were also processed by Anthropic in the United States. We only share what is necessary for each provider to perform its function. The providers we use to deliver client services are listed in our trust centre.

6. How we hold and protect it

Personal information is stored with reputable cloud providers under access controls, encryption in transit, and the least-privilege principles we apply in our security practice. Website enquiries, bookings and past quiz responses are held in our website database. We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or de-identify it.

7. Access, correction and complaints

You can request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you at any time: email info@evisent.com.au or call 1300 384 736. If you have a privacy concern, contact us first and we will respond promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be at evisent.com.au/privacy with the date above.
